  i noticed on the news part of jw.org, they mentioned this comment:.

  "there were power outages at the branch office facilities in patterson and wallkill, new york, and these facilities ran temporarily on generator power; however, the warwick facility is still operating on generator power.

  the storm also disrupted telecommunications services at these facilities.".

  …but it could be over a year old. There were some existing buildings there already… from a paper plant I believe? Anyway’s, Google already labeled it as the official World Headquarters…

  BREAKING NEWS: Watchtower's Charitable Status UNDER THREAT in Britain !

  there is an article today in daily mail one of the largest uk newspapers about the plymouth brethren that should worry every thinking jehovah's witness.. the charities commision in britain is threatening the charitable status of a small offshoot of the aglican church the plymouth brethren .the reason ?

  they don't perform enough charitable work for their local community .

  at a time where the tax avoidance of large businesses such as google ,ebay,amazon and starbucks is under serious question in britain ,the charities commision's investigation into this little church's charitable status comes as no surprise .the 2006 charities act forced charities, often at high cost, to 'demonstrate' value to society .so far being a christian church automatically exempt you off taxes ,this is not the case anymore .

  Let’s go to the Super Secret Elder’s Manual shall we?

  In page 59 (under offenses requiring judicial decisions) it states the following:

  Attempted suicide may be the result of deep despair or major depression. Deal carefully and compassionately with such a person. In most cases a judicial hearing is not required.

  Seriously??? In other words, a JW in deep despair can possibly get himself DF’d for attempting suicide? That’s all they have to say about suicide?

  Actually, there is one more thing about suicide in this manual… page 86 where it lays out a procedure to follow if, during a judicial committee hearing, someone threatens to kill himself. It basically instructs elders to patronize the accused JW (stall him) and then come back a couple of days later with some bullshit WT articles to get him back on track.

  these guys are totally clueless

  Well, I think I spoke to my neighbor for about 10 minutes early last month. Does that count?

  I think so. But just turn in your report and we'll decide that later.

  In respect to headcovering, can you get away with a sheet of toilet paper??

  whose idea was it anywhere and is there any mention of it in any awake or bodgetower?.

  the idea, that women when taking the lead in anyway or praying should have something on their head as a sign of respect suddenly struck me as a sign of total disrespect!.

  i understand a woman may put anything on her head as a sign of respect to her superior male colleagues, including a used kleenex....i've seen it so don't doubt it!!.

  You can certainly get away with a sheet of toilet paper but you will have to answer to Jehovah if a breeze knocks it off your head.
